Hartwell, GA - Part Two

 The Work

The purpose of the road trip to Hartwell, Ga was to do volunteer work on Heart Well House One.  We were previously there a year earlier for two weeks volunteer work.  On this occasion our work crew was given the job of installing the 4X8 sheets of siding with trim on the outside and also installing drywall on the inside walls.








Shawn and Chad installed the siding and the trim on the outside, while Sherri and I hung drywall on inside.  Caleb from South Carolina joined us for a few days to help with the drywall.  At the end of the two weeks the siding was completed and ready to paint.  The drywall was mostly completed.  There were a few places where we were not able to finish the drywall because the plumbing and electrical work was not completed and the walls needed to remain open.

Heart Well House One is a beautiful 3 bedroom and 3 full bathroom home. When this home is completed it will provide the much needed housing for four girls and also includes private living quarters for the House Parents.  There is still much work to be done: paint the outside of the house, finish the drywall inside, paint the walls inside, install carpet, install kitchen cabinets, install the fixtures in the bathrooms.  If you could volunteer to help do work or if you could donate financially so the work could be contracted, it would help us get this home finished and opened.  The need of  homes for the trafficked is urgent and overwhelming.  Ask the Lord what He would have you to do.  Then, get in touch with Steve & Tam.  Here is the contact information:

San Bernardino, CA

  DW4C On our way to the Five Cities of the West coast, on February 12, we made a stop in San Bernardino County to fellowship and pray with Natalie Mar, Director of Deliverance Warriors For Christ Home For Girls.  This would be the second time we visited the DW4C home.  Since our last visit, Natalie has made several improvements on the home.  A new bathroom mirror has been installed, a new stainless steel commercial oven, new counter top and stove, a beautiful dinning table and chairs, and several solar panels which allows to home to be off the grid.  That evening w e had a powerful prayer time with Natalie and resident Tess.  Tess has received Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord,  has been delivered from drug addiction since childhood, received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, and is growing in her relationship with Jesus. Five Ports Of The West Coast

  Finish The Assignment When the Lord spoke the words. "Two Years" and went on to explain that we had just two years to complete the prayer assignment of going to the Ten Cities, we went to prayer seeking Him for the strategy to accomplish the assignment.  We sensed very clearly that the hands on God's prophetic time clock were nearing 12 midnight.  (See previous Blog Post, "TWO YEARS.)  Over the past year and a half the Word of God in Proverbs 3:5-6 have been our constant GPS: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."    When we prayed and contemplated how to expeditiously get from Indiana to all five cities on the West Coast, the Holy Spirit led us to complete it in just one trip.  We decided that the trip was too far and would take too many days and too much gas for Diana and I to take our truck and RV.
