Hartwell , GA - Part Three
PRAY & PLAY
While the main purpose of our road trip to Hartwell, GA was to do the volunteer work on Heart Well House One, there were other things going on those two weeks. The most significant thing, maybe even more important that the physical work, was our gathering as the Ekklesia for prayer, fellowship, and worship. Each morning we would gather at 7am when Steve would bring a word from the Lord and we would all pray for one another. Every time we gathered it was powerful and heavy with the Presence of the Lord. Some times we were outside, gathered around the chimenea, other times it was at the breakfast table. There were even times of refreshing encounters with the Jesus joining us at the dinner table each evening. Our team was blessed, enriched, and strengthened. While I probably will not miss all the work we did those two weeks, I certainly do miss and will will remember for the rest of my life those two weeks of Jesus' ministry to us.
Four of the five volunteers from our Columbia City, Indiana Ekklesia who went as the volunteer work team are also members of Bikers Against Trafficking. Shawn and Sherri had their two bikes in the utility trailer pulled behind Penelope (his RV) and Diana and I had Big Booty Ruby (our Harley) in our RV Toy Hauler. On Saturday, November 2, we took our day of rest away from all our labors, and rode to Toccoa Falls, GA It was a warm and beautiful day for riding on all the winding roads through all the forested mountains. The Falls were spectacular!! It was a 74 mile road trip. After arriving back at Heart Well House Two we enjoyed a delicious dinner of smoked Pork Butt that Steve prepared for us on his pellet smoker! A DAY TO REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER!
On our hike into the Falls, we saw this sign along the trail. It seemed to us to be a Word from the Lord.
